What is it?

A PMAY-G registration number is the unique identifier attached to a sanctioned rural house in AwaasSoft. It is normally shown on the sanction record and beside the beneficiary's name in the village-level Social Audit report. The number lets the official beneficiary page open one household's sanction, construction and payment details.

Benefits

Recovering the number helps you distinguish people with similar names, check the correct house, save evidence before visiting the block, and avoid sharing Aadhaar or OTP with unofficial websites.

Practical example: Meena knows her village and her husband's name but not the registration number. She selects Uttar Pradesh → Sitapur → her block → her panchayat → 2025-26 in Beneficiary details for verification, uses Find in page for the surname, checks the father's name, and copies the number beside the correct row. She then opens the official beneficiary search. (Illustrative process.)

Eligibility criteria

  • ✓The public village list can be viewed by anyone; it does not require a beneficiary login
  • ✓Your record appears under the financial year in which the house was sanctioned, not necessarily the current year
  • ✓You need the exact district, block and Gram Panchayat used in the government record
  • ✓If several names match, compare the father/spouse name and village before using the number

Documents required

  • ✓Beneficiary's full name and father/spouse name
  • ✓State, district, block and Gram Panchayat
  • ✓Approximate sanction year
  • ✓Sanction letter or old screenshot, if available

How to apply — step by step

  1. Open report.pmayg.dord.gov.in/netiay/newreport.aspx
  2. Go to Social Audit Reports and choose Beneficiary details for verification
  3. Select State, District, Block, Gram Panchayat, scheme and financial year
  4. Solve the captcha and open the list
  5. Use the browser's Find in page option to search part of the beneficiary name
  6. Match the family details and copy the registration number shown with the correct row
  7. Paste that number into the official IAY/PMAYG Beneficiary search to see the individual record

Important dates

There is no deadline to search a registration number. If the name is missing, repeat the search for the previous sanction year and confirm the recorded panchayat at the block office.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • ✓Searching only the current financial year
  • ✓Choosing a nearby panchayat with a similar name
  • ✓Trusting a paid PDF instead of the live official list
  • ✓Sharing Aadhaar OTP with someone promising to recover the number

Frequently asked questions

Can I find the number by mobile number?

The public report is organised by location and year. The reliable method is to open the panchayat list and match your name and family details.

Why does my old number show no record?

Check for typing mistakes and confirm whether it is an IAY or PMAY-G record. If it still fails, take the number to the block PMAY-G desk.

Is Aadhaar required to view the village list?

No. The public Social Audit list does not require Aadhaar or OTP.

Does having a number mean the house is approved?

Read the individual record. Survey or wait-list references are not the same as a final sanction order.
