This guide covers
e-KYC and status—not a new application

What is it?

e-KYC links an existing Majhi Ladki Bahin record to the beneficiary's verified Aadhaar identity. It helps Maharashtra check that the applicant, mobile and DBT details belong to the same woman. This page is intentionally focused on completing verification; it does not replace the scheme's full eligibility rules.

Benefits

A successful e-KYC removes one common reason for a pending verification or paused DBT. It does not by itself guarantee approval: the department still checks age, residence, family income, tax, employment, vehicle and duplicate-beneficiary conditions.

Practical example: If Aadhaar shows “Sunita Ramesh Patil” but the application says “Sunita Patil,” OTP success may not resolve the record mismatch. Note the status message and use the correction channel shown on the official portal or authorised local centre.

Eligibility criteria

  • ✓Use this process only for an applicant or beneficiary record already linked to Majhi Ladki Bahin
  • ✓The applicant must retain eligibility under the scheme's current rules
  • ✓Aadhaar-linked mobile access is needed for online OTP verification
  • ✓The applicant's own Aadhaar-seeded, DBT-enabled bank account should match the record
  • ✓Final approval and continued payment remain subject to Maharashtra Government checks

Documents required

  • ✓Applicant's Aadhaar
  • ✓Aadhaar-linked mobile phone
  • ✓Application or beneficiary number if shown
  • ✓Applicant's bank passbook
  • ✓Correction proof for a name, date-of-birth or account mismatch

How to apply — step by step

  1. Type ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in yourself and check the government-domain spelling
  2. Open the e-KYC or beneficiary login service currently displayed
  3. Enter only the requested Aadhaar/application details
  4. Complete OTP verification on the Aadhaar-linked mobile
  5. Read and save the success or error message
  6. For mismatch or pending verification, use the correction instruction displayed by the portal or an authorised centre
  7. Recheck beneficiary/payment status after processing

Important dates

Use only the date shown in the current official notice or beneficiary dashboard. Do not rely on an old video or forwarded message because re-verification windows can change.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • ✓Opening a sponsored look-alike page instead of the Maharashtra government portal
  • ✓Using a family member's mobile when OTP goes only to the Aadhaar-linked number
  • ✓Assuming OTP success corrects a bank/name mismatch
  • ✓Creating a duplicate fresh application to fix an existing record
  • ✓Sharing OTP with someone claiming to release a stopped instalment

No. e-KYC confirms identity; eligibility and DBT checks still apply.

What if my Aadhaar mobile number is inactive?

Why does payment remain pending after e-KYC?

A bank-NPCI mapping, name mismatch, duplicate record or separate eligibility verification may still be pending.
