How to apply — step by step
- Wait for the official IBPS notification and read the state-wise vacancy table before choosing a state
- Register on the official IBPS website with a valid email and mobile number
- Fill the application with details exactly as on the class 10 certificate
- Upload the photograph, signature, handwritten declaration and thumb impression in the prescribed dimensions
- Pay the application fee online and save the receipt
- Download the preliminary exam call letter and appear for the screening test
- Qualify the preliminary stage and appear for the main examination, which decides the final merit
- Complete the language proficiency check and document verification at the provisionally allotted bank
Important dates
The notification is usually released in the middle of the year, with the application window open for about three weeks, the preliminary examination a few weeks later and the main examination after that. The dates shift every cycle, so the only reliable source is the official IBPS calendar and notification. The age cut-off date is fixed in the notification and is not the date of application — a candidate who crosses 28 after the cut-off date remains eligible for that cycle.
